dagger
Actually, it's part of WestJet's complete summer schedule announcement https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/westjet-adds-six-dozen-flights-to-calgary-hub-671639383.html https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/westjet-heads-to-paris-and-london-from-halifax-671641603.html https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/westjet-is-conveniently-connected-in-yyz-671641523.html https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/westjet-expands-service-from-vancouver-671641493.html https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/westjet-enhances-edmonton-summer-schedule-671639124.html
Seeker
I like the 3rd one down the list: "WestJet is conveniently connected in YYZ." For an airline in Canada, isn't that kind of like saying, "Conveniently, our aircraft have wings!"
FA@AC
Are the TATL routes seasonal? The press release doesn't mention an end date.

The release only talks to the Summer Schedule so they may revert back to the current over YYZ service next winter.
Super 80
Perhaps they should have taken a couple more Qantas 767s before the got sliced for cargo doors, CDG via YHZ isn't going to be all that compelling from YVR, YYZ or YUL

Feed to and from Skyteam at CDG as well as O/D traffic to and from Nova Scotia might make the route work. Lots of Europeans visit NS in the summer/fall months, and YHZ doesn't have a lot of TATL service.
Super 80
If they're just holding on to new entrant slots until the 787 is delivered probably not, the failure of Air Berlin has probably freed up quite a few slots in Europe for new entrants.
