I was joking.  I don't think there is any natural wind that could rip the wings off an F-104.  Besides that you can see the wing in one photo with all the attachments fittings intact.  That being said check out the left stabilizer - looks to be peeled back on itself.  Hard to know if it was in a weakened state, partially dissembled or if the wind did it but that part looks like real storm damage.

Naturally I wouldn't want to see any museum aircraft damaged but the only one I really care about is the XB-70.

Something we agree on!  After the Lanc, the Valkerie is my second favourite!!!

Have been fortunate to go to Dayton to see it!

I've give up the Enola Gay, the Wright flyer and the last SR71 to save the XB-70.  

PS, there's actually lots we agree on.

Its a shame.  That is a spectacular museum.  I have been many times.  I love the Valkyrie so much I ride one.
