blues deville
Had a chat with an AC engineer in YYZ on Friday who mentioned the 787 delivery may be delayed due to passenger seat issues. Apparently the Recaro seats installed on the new aircraft failed a g-force test. Air Canada's 787s will have seats manufactured by both BEA and Recaro depending on the location in the aircraft. The 9g FAA requirement was increased in 1988 to 16g for all new aircraft. Here's a link to the AC 787 interior details....http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/pictures-air-canada-reveals-new-787-interior-393794/
mrlupin
Morning blues,The story you got was distorted...I can confirm the recaro seat is certified and installed in 801. There was never any problem with those seats.
