  1. And you can bet there will be a lot of AOGs from now until Tuesday…
  2. I didn’t think that would go on for much longer.
  3. You and I might have been working on the same crew in YYZ when that happened.
  4. Meh. Air Canada had one come off a 767 shortly after departure from YVR, years ago. That one went swimming as well. Equally as terrifying.
  5. Looks pretty bad… https://ntv.ca/state-of-emergency-rcmp-warn-of-uncontrolled-fire-near-explosive-material-in-happy-valley-goose-bay/
  6. I’ve refueled a helicopter from the deck of a ship while it was hovering over me… believe me, you cast a glance upwards occasionally!
  7. The Daily Mail... wow, I'm shaking my head at the quality of journalism these days. So, according to the story, it sounds like the pilot mistakenly broadcast a transmission intended for ATC to the passenger cabin via the P.A.? Anyway, I don't know what engine type are used on Southwests fleet, CFM56 or Leap? Interesting though, this issue of the fan cowl departing the aircraft has only ususally been experienced by the A320 family aircraft, I was surprised to see it on a 737.
  8. Surely there must be a manual deployment method of the anchor! Like an alternate landing gear extension in an aircraft, no power required. Kip? (and don't call me surely! )
  9. Apparently they lost the propulsion system, causing the loss of control. I'm no naval expert, but couldn't they just drop anchor at that point?
  10. I was reading about this on Reddit... in the comments there, it's staggering to see how many pilots use these drugs on a regular basis.
  11. That’s weird looking damage, ripped and torn like that.
  12. "The clock-drawing test is a quick way to screen for early dementia, including Alzheimer's disease. It involves drawing a clock on a piece of paper with numbers, clock hands, and a specific time. The inability to do so is a strong indication of mental decline." I'm glad you didn't draw a square circle...
