Cabin Crew not playing well with others...

This sounds like a weird one.

What happened? Did the flight crew tried to contact the flight attendants several times over several minutes and, hearing nothing, assume there was a problem big enough for a 'land at nearest suitable airport'?

Attempted Mutiny? :glare:

Delta's not saying much about what happened other than to apologize for not delivering their best. Perhaps something to do with the pilot's current 40% wage increase negotiations and the cabin crews.....not?

Meanwhile back in ATL, the airline is saving a bundle in fuel costs.

On Jan 28th 2016 The Aviation Herald learned that two flight attendants disagreeing over work issues engaged in a fist fight, a third lady trying to calm the other two down was hit by the flying fists, the purser informed the flight deck and the captain decided to divert.

Sounds entertaining for the pax! I heard of a similar event once on Air Transat...

Same at old City Express many, many years ago. Two Captains paired together and couldn't agree on what seats to sit it. Wrestled each other out of the flight deck and into the cabin while passengers were boarding. One fired, one suspended.
