Don't know much about the current "AC Cargo" but based on the various rulings by the CTA it would appear that a lot of their "heavy" lift is already provided by other carriers or am I wrong?

They have always bought some lift from other carriers, but when you have so many 777-300ERs, you have a lot of belly lift that can accommodate some pretty decent size pallets. Domestically, the trend towards smaller jets may leave AC short of pallet-sized lift, or at least that's my guess.

This may have something to do with the Canada Post contract which is currently up for bid.

I would be a bit suprised at this but I suppose you never know.

Between the KFC/PCL fleet and the DC-10 CPC has plenty of overnight ULD lift which is what Cargojet provides. The CPC RFP was supposed to close last year but they could not find a sole provider. I notice on Merx it is currently open until 2016.
