J.O.
Canadian Press OTTAWA -- The cost of getting a Canadian passport is going up significantly in the new year. Without the fee increases, Passport Canada would not be able to maintain current operations, let alone offer security-enhanced travel documents, the agency says. Moon The Loon
I'm a little surprised about the 10 year passports as I thought the main reason for the 5 year period is for the picture to be renewed.
inchman
I'm a little surprised about the 10 year passports as I thought the main reason for the 5 year period is for the picture to be renewed.I've got a feeling that that was just the excuse-of-the-day to not move from the 5 year cycle. Most people don't change their appearance that much over 10 years. If they do, it's mostly hair or beard length or colour, which can be changed in much less than 5 years. I still look as young as I did 20 years ago!
