Don Hudson
I have read that in the video of the accident (taken some distance away apparently..haven't seen it), the Avenger was not shown to be "S"-turning but was instead taxiing straight ahead, no wing-walkers. That seems to be the reports from eye-witnesses as well. Very sad day for family, friends and all airplane enthusiasts.
Mitch Cronin
Wow! Very sorry to hear... ... must have been a terrifying experience for all involved... I can only imagine the suffering both survivors of that might endure....
J.O.
Very sad indeed. A friend of mine knew Gary Palmer quite well and was hit very hard by the loss of a good buddy. Apparently the pilot of the TBM was devistated by the accident. Oshkosh is a tricky place at the best of times, and unfortunately they've had a fair number of accidents because of the close quarters and the heavy volume of traffic.
