Maverick
I know this was posted before but I still go back and read it on occasion. This, for my money was the most amazing aircraft that ever entered commercial service. Enjoy, again. https://www.pprune.org/tech-log/423988-concorde-question.html
Canoehead
A favourite thread of mine. All because someone asked about an APU...
JL
A fantastic read. The technical woven around the human experience in the cabin makes the thread so readable.

Kip Powick
Well that long read took about 4 hours and killed an otherwise boring nite here in Dotland. A wealth of excellent information and interesting facts...luv'ed it. Thanks Mav
Guest1
Concorde April 17 at 11:18 AM · April 1985, Concorde flies supersonic. This is the only picture ever taken of Concorde flying at Mach2, 1,350 mph. It was taken from a Royal Air Force Tornado, which rendezvoused with Concorde briefly to the south of Ireland. Although the Tornado could match (and even exceed) Concorde's cruising speed it could only do so for a matter of minutes due to the enormous rate of fuel consumption. After racing to catch Concorde and struggling to keep up, the Tornado broke off the rendezvous after just four minutes, while Concorde cruised serenely on to JFK! Jaydee
I witnessed the last arrival of the Concorde that BA donated to BGI....they pulled up and parked beside me.....was a sad sight to see the pilots and mechanics close the door and walk away knowing that beautiful piece of history would never see the skies again.
