Kip Powick
Canada's Newest Aircraft Carrier (Courtesy J.O.) Unbeknownst to Jack Layton and the NDP, the Federal Liberal Government has secretly purchased a new aircraft carrier, which has been christened the HMCS Jean Chrétien. The following photo was shot last week in B.C.waters, showing the HMCS Jean Chrétien carrying our new secret four-engine Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) maritime patrol aircraft. Say Altitude
Ouch! Although given the state of some of the boats we used to drive, it's probably got a better reliability rate! Looks like surface gunnery practise to me! "A-System - shoot!" Ah the good olde days.....
AME
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that an AirCanada Viscount?? BCIT moving??
GDR
It is the old Viscount that was sitting over by the south terminal in YVR. Glenn Pearce A340/FO YVR, organized its transit over to the air museum in YYJ. It is now sitting on the ramp in YYJ.
