Databus
Anyone know of anyone working in the Maldives (ie Borek's Maldivian Air Taxi)? Have they somehow heard from their people out there in light of the tsunami?

Say Altitude
I have a good buddy there and have yet to hear from him but from the article I've cut and paste below, it seems all Canadian drivers have been accounted for. http://story.news.yahoo.com/ Three Canadians dead, 11 missing in after Asian tsunami Mon Dec 27, 2:33 PM ET Canada - AFP MONTREAL (AFP) - Three Canadians were dead and 11 others missing in Thailand and Sri Lanka, one day after being swept away by huge tidal waves that devastated several Asian nations, a foreign ministry spokesman said. Two Canadian tourists vacationing on the Thai resort island of Phuket were among the missing and 12 were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, officials said. About 500 Canadians were on the island when a massive earthquake off Indonesia unleashed gigantic waves across Asian coastlines, foreign ministry spokesman Reynald Doiron told AFP television. In Sri Lanka, one Canadian was killed, Doiron said. He said there were 11 Canadians on the Maldives unaccounted for, blaming much of the problem on poor communications. A group of 45 Canadian airline pilots in the Maldives and about 20 Canadian aid workers in Indonesia have been accounted for, Doiron said
AIP
Just received word from a friend in BKK, all is well with him and his family. They were considering a Christmas Holiday to Phuket, and thanking their lucky stars. He spoke to freinds there saying that there was flooding on the third floor of a 3 story hotel, and numerous other stories. May we be thankful for what we have.
