Guest 666
Legal costs$$. Interest rate is quite low however. No big deal.
MCDU
ACPA asked its members for permission to use a $2M contingency fund that was put away for situations such as we have recently experienced.
Guest 666
Mcdu, i beleive the contingency fund was a wee bit underfunded hence loan.

Guest George
Actually, an ACPA member/frined of mine told me that ACPA was seeking the loan so that they could buy Jazz and sort out the scope thing that way....
exGXer
Actually I heard the loan was in the $300 million range.
DEFCON
Jazz for 2M you say? That'd be a great price for the only thing of value left at AC. Perhaps your friend got it wrong and ACPA's using the 2M to buy AC?
Don Hudson
DEFCON; Re "This morning I was told that ACPA's out of cash and is now seeking a two million dollar loan??" By who, please. Money issues are a matter of membership information and ratification. Some time ago, the ACPA Contingency Fund was accessed for purposes outside the Constitutional requirements. A vote was held and the matter passed. The notion that ACPA is "out of cash" is false and misleading. Cheers, Don
Guest Bat
You might want to hear the second chorus of that tune before too many (self) strokes. Seems there might be some legal consequences for recent acts before this is done. Bat
DEFCON
Don Sorry but, not everyone within the ACPA stable is happy and I'm also sure you're aware, all boats leak. Of course I can't tell you who passed the info on however, is ACPA looking for that loan?
