C3's first B757, C-FOOE is now scheduled to be converted to a freighter and finish its flying career with FedEx.......or will it?

I flew on this one a few times.

Always interesting to see who operated them and where they end up.

Cool. Cool. Cool

FedEx sucking up a good number of 757's will make for interesting times for the charters who are accustomed to picking up and casting off 757's on a whim.

Apparently FedEx wants to find a total of 90 previously owned 757s for their fleet. I think most charter carriers, start-up or otherwise, are now looking at 737NGs for their flying programs. Sunwing and Canjet in Canada for example and Thomson Fly in Europe are gearing up to use only 737NGs and 787s whenever they arrive.
