Mitch Cronin
I sincerely hope all airline maintenance management personnel watched, or will watch that show. Though there were undoubtedly errors in the technical details as shown, the reality of both the mechanic's, and management's role in what happened were depicted well. To borrow a line from an American group dear to my heart, Safety in the air begins with quality maintenance on the ground.
N8
I did tape it and will make a copy available in the Air Canada T2 Flight Safety office in YYZ next week. I must admit though, it wasn't as good as I had hoped.
Mitch Cronin
Agreed... It would be nice to see it done again after the results of the investigations, with CVR and DFDR data.
60N30W
Mitch, Your best bet will be to sit down with a couple of cool ones and read the report when it comes out. Then make up your own mind. I just think "Hollywood" never does a good job with these things. Regards, 60N30W A330 Pilot

Guest righthandman
I don't know...based on the discovery channal depiction of what happened, aside from shutting off the xfeed when it was apparent it wasn't giving the desired result, what else could these guys have done? I could almost picture myself going through the situation these poor buggers were in.
