dagger
I don't know how they ever put a man on the moon. Really - we're talking major morons. http://customwire.ap.org/dynamic/stories/S/SARS_SCHOOL_DISTRICT?SITE=OHCIN&SECTION=HOME
Guest rollingrock
Unbelievable. None of the students showed any symptoms.
Guest jeanmermoz
If I remember well someone said that Bush is a moron. It seems that, because of his popularity at this moment, the rest of the USA are morons. This event just bring water to that remark...
Guest alldatjazz
I think this is what happens when you let litigation take control. Every organization down there is so paranoid that they don't dare not react to this situation. Judges don't use common sense because the "legal" precedent has been set. It seems all you have to do is show that someone had an opportunity to decide on the safe course of action, regardless of how remote the consequences were, and you can be liable for a King's ransom. Too bad it has to be that way but, you can see where they're coming from.
inchman
I don't think it's fair to single out the Americans. We have Canadian companies cancelling shareholder meetings in Toronto, just as the peak is past and the WHO is about to lift the travel ban. At least there was SARS here when these kids were here. Panic, caused by the media "emotion mongers" can be pervasive. Let them have their fears and maybe they will realize when it's over, that they have been had, once again, by a media frenzy. Maranatha
Easy Dagger, yer beginning to sound like a Liberal PM's aide... It's known as "Liability phobia," or litigation avoidance, a common phenom south of the border. Cheers, IE.
