flyinghigh
Cool. Have been to Renton. At least 1 first takeoff every day. Initially there is an intentional RTO. Then after a bit, the first takeoff.
dagger
Interesting, all of that manual labor. What Boeing doesn't show here is its robotic paint shed, or the new FAUB robotic riveting system being set up for all future 777 manufacturing starting in 2016. FAUB was unveiled at Farnborough last July, really cool. There not much separation between Boeing and Airbus in the sky when it comes to block hour costs, so they are taking cost out in assembling the planes. Automation is making huge inroads at both A and B.http://www.boeing.com/boeing/Features/2014/07/bca_777_fuselage_07_14_14.page
