Ex 9A Guy
Just found this on CBC website Eight dead, two missing in plane crashes Toronto — Eight people are dead after a single engine aircraft crashed northeast of Thunder Bay Thursday evening, Ontario Provincial Police say. The small plane crashed just outside the community of Summer Beaver, about an hour after it took off from Pickle Lake. A woman and seven men, which included the plane's pilot, were on board the 11-seat Cessna Grand Caravan, said an OPP spokesperson in Sioux Lookout. Search and rescue crews from CFB Trenton were sent find the missing passengers after a representative of Wasaya Airways, which owns the plane, reported the plane late in arriving. A parachute team from the Trenton base confirmed the deaths of the eight people at the crash site Friday morning. Robert Sirianni, the captain of CFB Trenton's search crew, said thunderstorms in the area where the plane went down may have been a factor in the crash. Crews are also looking for another plane that went missing near Kenora en route to Thunder Bay Thursday. Two people are believed to have been on board.
