Things looking better

When I was working, the employee who worried me the most was the one who went around with a frown on their face and said nothing. Those were the ones who were most likely to explode when pushed over their edge. The folks who spoke out (call it bitching if you want) were usually quite moderate in their actions. Guess it all comes down to using expression as a safety valve.

Never saw it that way before. In future when flying AC I will be oh so grateful to be yelled at (much better than being frowned on).

Of course there are those who say the staff should be polite to the passengers, but what do they know? Probably don't get out much, eh?

The arrogance in your posts, is exactly why everyone enjoys attacking AC.

It doesn't matter what actually happened it's the impression the family has of the incident, that they'll relate to anyone who'll listen, and your attempt to make a mole hill out of their mountain, and implying that the aunt and uncle were old so they couldn't possibly have known what happened only serves to deepen the resentment felt toward AC.

There is an old saying "The customer is always right"

anyway just my opinion
