Innuendo
Some great aviation photos in PPRune. The poster, DamienB has a number of postings in PPRune of his photos. I think he is excellent. Uses a Canon D-60 digital I believe. http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=100878

Innuendo
DeHavilland DH-110 Vixen. Twin engine two crew ( radar operator buried in the fuselage to the right of the canopy.) It was flown by the Royal Navy as an interceptor primarily under the name Sea Vixen. This was the same type that had the breakup accident of an early model at Farnborough in the late fifties that killed a lot of spectators.

Maverick
Was that also not the crash that killed the pilot, Geoffrey DeHavilland?
Guest AME
Geoffrey DeHavilland was killed in a Swallow http://www.angelfire.com/wy/bowbrickhill/dehavillandcrash.html
Innuendo
I believe that is correct. The Swallow looked a bit like the DH-110 without the tail booms and was a type of flying wing. I am not sure if the accident was due to control problems associated with transonic flight or structural. The pilot at Farnborough was John Derry, sorry I don't remember the observers name. I think the number of casualties came close to one hundred.
