Guest M. McRae
UPDATE 2-United mechanics vote to join AMFA union Mon July 14, 2003 04:35 PM ET (Adds remarks from unions, United, analysts, byline) By David Bailey CHICAGO, July 14 (Reuters) - Mechanics at bankrupt United Airlines voted to drop the International Association of Machinists union, choosing to join the smaller rival Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association, AMFA said on Monday. The AMFA victory came as no surprise, said Ray Neidl, airline analyst at Blaylock & Partners.
