Guest pilgrim
Anyone able to help out with this? This morning while on ground in EGPH standing by for our oceanic clearance across the pond back to CYYZ, ATC asked if we were ORCA compliant. Exchanging puzzled looks we had to admit our ignorance on that one! What were they referring to? TIA
Kip Powick
I believe he was asking if you had Open Reliable Communications Architecture on board....in other words, radios that were acceptable (ICAO),to transverse Oceanic routes where coms are limited depending on the radios one has onboard . Kinda funny cause you got there and now he is wondering if you have the radios to go back...maybe a "newbie??"
