Arctic Ace
Interesting, I keep hearing the Canada pension plan is pay as you go. Since us "baby boomers" outnumber everyone else we keep being told that there isn't enough people behind us to support our greater number in retirement. Since we are supporting fewer in front of us, why is the "surplus" not being put away for our "baby boomer" generation. That would be prudent management in my opinion. Perhaps its time again to write the old MP.
DEFCON
There is no surplus. We're all trying to stay afloat while supporting those who don't, never have, or never intend to contribute to the funding of Canada's social programs.
Guest lupin
wouldn't financial responsibility be to use the surplus to pay off the debt accumulated by past goverments as not to pass the debt to newer generations? Years of accumulating debt and now they want more money.....lol .Isn't it interesting how everyone wants things that will help them but fail to see the future consequences of all this spending??The babyboomers have done alot for they economie, but the debt they are giving to future generations is of incredible proportion..... Arctic Ace
The deduction on my pay stub says CPP. That is where the funds should be directed. Not general revunues to make up for Jane Stewart's 2 billion misplacement.
