I was on the Harvard course in Penhold AB when the Hawks were doing a practice at Sulvan Lake and it was a weekend so all us "green-horns" were on dates at the lake. When the Hawks went by the girls could have been naked,, all the drooling was done by the guys watching the Hawks.... Two aircraft I wish I had a chance to fly...The Spitfire and the F-86. I can't remember where I was when it was reported the F-86s were coming back to Canada, (replaced by cf 104), and as soon as the aircraft landed and the pilot exited the airraft, a maintenance person was there with crash axe and did in the instrument panel....I think they spared a few...
