blues deville Posted November 5, 2017 Share Posted November 5, 2017 Probably a good idea. There’s a lot of phantom weight on planes these days. Photo shows pax being weighed with carry-on and bags. One route I commonly operate has people taking lots of stuff home for family/friends. They are limited in Econ for bag weight so anything and everything heavy goes into the carry on. And none of that seems to get weighed. Five hours into the flight with slightly higher than displayed/actual thrust settings and we’re behind in fuel because 225 people have added extra weight for the plane to keep airborne. 10 hours later isn’t any better.
