First Air Lingus B757

Does it belong to the airline, (Aer Lingus), or is it being operated by Air Contractors, (wet-lease), and been painted with Aer Lingus livery?

No not owned. It's a wet lease with Air Contractors but the first time Aer Lingus has used this type of aircraft. I am surprised sometimes by what airlines will contract out. As I mentioned the exterior of the plane airplane looks patched. So that's what Air Contractors will let you see. What about everything you can't see?

I recall looking at a 757 in OAK that was available for a short term lease. After checking it out with two engineers, we all determined it was junk and wouldn't fly cattle in it. The owner was Ryan Int'l.

Another photo from airliners.net.

This aircraft appears to have several paint patches on the left side fuselage and what appears to be a slight wrinkle just aft of the 1L door. The original owner was Finnair.
