Market Value Question

I am curious as to the Market Value of a CRJ200 aircraft. Exactly how many peanuts does one demand in todays market? It seems they are parking them by the hundreds so I assume not much. Anyone have any insight?

The price will depend on the year of manufacture, config, avionics, cycles, engine type, engine times, maintenance times , engine checksetc etc.

Saw one VIP config for 10 million (1995)

Saw one VIP config for 18 million (2000)

Saw one 48 Pax config for 8.9 million (2001)

how about a dirty old, low serial number POS? or even a not so bad middle SN machine. All in the 50 seat layout.

SNIPPETS FROM THE INET (2010) articles

In late 2006, the value of a 1999 vintage CRJ200ER approximated $10.5 million. Today, (2010), the value is likely to be less than $6 million. The 50 seat regional jet market has experienced a considerable fall in value equating to more than 40 percent over three years.

In the next few years valuesof those built in 2005 will fall to less than $7 million while the oldest will attract little more than scrap value.
