Beth
Hi sweetie! Can you tell me what this title means in plain 'stew' english?: TechOps Production Team Leader Management, average joe, which dept etc..... Thanks hon. B.
Mike Lavoy
Well, I'm no sweetie by any means but since Mitch seems to be ignoring you: "TechOps Production Team Leader" = Hangar Foreman (our immediate management contact). Some are average joes, some are not.
Mitch Cronin
Hi Beth, It's a management position others would call a Maintenance Supervisor. "Tech Ops" used to refer to both line and heavy maintenance... and probably, used like that still could, but correctly, we're now two different entities - Air Canada Technical Services (ACTS) is the heavy maintenance, while Air Canada Maintenance (ACM) is line maintenance... Tech Ops may or may not be legitimate official language these days (hard to keep up), but it refers to those of us that fix airplanes. Glad to see not all "Stew's" have put me on their lump of coal list.
