Guest Dash eight
Thanks to the govt I just read on the internet that the old and very historic Avro plant at Toronto airport was bulldozed into the ground this summer/fall. Diefenbaker gets the last laugh!!

Guest AME
Boeing may owe it's very exsistence to Diefenbaker If you think that the Arrow was a travisty, read up on the Jetliner, Howard Huges was so impressed by it he ordered 50 airplanes for TWA before the certification flights were complete. http://www.avroland.ca/al-c102.shtml
Super 80
I think blame for that one can goto C.D. Howe, In retrospect, that stupid flying car probably would have been a better use of resources, the CF-100 was almost useless. I think Boeing wants to move more wing production to Malton where they already build parts of the MD-95 Canada would be a much better place today if Louie and Dief had been run over by a train or something. My grandfather went to his death bitter about how Canadian aerospace had been destroyed.
