Guest YES BY
If anyone is interested... AAN was the second Dash 8 bought by Air Atlantic, but the first of our own Dash's we put in service. The first was AAC, which I think is at FIELD at YYC. AAN was also operated by Air Nova/JAZZ as well. She's a good machine. Cheers

Guest rvr1200
I noticed they say it's a Q200. When I flew it, it was no Q200. She's a straight ol' 100. Did Lab Air do some sort of conversion???
vanishing point
Not sure it you mean the "bit" at the wing tip but if so, it is a fairing that blocks the strobe light from the pilots' eyes. If you look close at the right wing tip, you can just see the other fairing. They protrude about 6 inches ahead of the leading edge. I thought I'd flown this 8 at CRA but looking at my log book shows GAAM and GAAC. Close, but no cigar.
Guest ECB
After Air Atlantic sold off GAAN (and most of the 15 Dash-8s we once had for the not-so-mighty BAe-41s) it went to Lab Air and then Air Nova had it for a while. Others went to CRA, Air Inuit and Hawkair at various times. The only time it was a 'Q' was in storage
Guest AME
Actually I was looking at the two "Bits" just forward of the front spar about even with the L/H side of the fuselage
vanishing point
Ahh...now I see what you're looking at. Couldn't see them in broad daylight but amazing what one picks up at 2230. Sorry about that. Cheers VP
