Is this discussion worth continuing? It sure as heck is laying our worst fears and paranoia out in the open for us to look at. How far do we let our governments go to allay those fears? Are these preventative actions OK so long as we ourselves are not the targets? What will happen to us as citizens in trouble in another country when our government can't or won't help us because of their reputation within Canada?
