Guest spoggers
A short while ago someone asked for some information on the hiring band that may or may not be in effect. There wasn't much response at the time. However, I've now been been offered an interview with Cathay and I'd like to see if anyone else can shed some light on this. Unfortunatly I don't know anyone at the company so, if you or anyone else could shed some light on this or do some checking, I'd REALLY appreciate it !!! Any other relevent information is also welcome. From the HRDC Vollyball Team
Steam Driven
Try the PPRuNe. Go to the Fragrant Harbour forum. The topic is discussed ad nauseum by the people who work or would like to work there. Good luck. www.pprune.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=bc3b93347deb496ef34e33917b4486ab&forumid=
Powermatic
The recruitment ban was lifted on June 03 of this year. There is more info on the Hong Kong Aircrew website. http://bbs.hkalpa.org/public/default.htm How long was it between your application and the call for the interview? Good Luck! handyman
The ban is over and the company has plans to continue to grow at a steady but cautious rate of approximately 5% per year. They currently operate about 72 aircraft and expect 6 more aircraft ordered pre-SARS later this year and early next year. They also employ about 1700 pilots. The growth projection will require about 100-120 pilots per year of which 2/3rds will be passenger S/O’s and 1/3rd F/O Freighters. Good Luck.
