Super 80
The Bombardier Regional Jet has been an off and on effort for a while now, but with the Embraer 170/190's comming into their own in a major way they have little choice unless they want to fall behind Embraer like Boeing has fallen behind Airbus. Guest Gino Under
From the mouth of a Bombardier Aerospace VP Customer Support. "There are no plans for the Company to revive the BRJ-X." ( My guess is that, since the reality of current industry economics has finally begun to sink in, company leaders are not only counting pennies, but more importantly, watching their Sales and Marketing, Research and Developement pennies. The EMB-170 looks good and sounds good. But, even with all the well wishing....they've run into certification issues that may prove costly. ...and aren't they exactly where the BAe RJ80, Do-728 were with their 70 and 80 seaters??? Not to mention the Fokker 100???? We might well soon see how economically sober they are. Best they be careful of what they wish for, or they may well suffer the same economic fate as previous ghosts from aviation past found out.
