This can be a sad old world.

There is a very good book out called "The Crisis of Islam" written by Bernard Lewis, who according to what I read, is the world's foremost scholar of Islam.

One of the things he says in his book is this:

"Most Muslims are not fundamentalists, and most fundamentalists are not terrorists, but most present-day terrorists are Muslim and proudly identify themselves as such."

It is a very informative read without any religious bias. I found it helpful in putting the world situation into context, as I like you and everyone else on this forum, can't fathom the thinking of that mother.
