GDR has retired..

As we all know GDR has flown his last flight and it was relayed to me that GDR went to the local Human Resources office to apply for his Canada Pension.

Apparently the woman behind the counter asked him for his driver's license to verify his age. GREG looked in his pockets and realized he had left his wallet at home. He told the woman that he was very sorry but he seemed to have left his wallet at home. "I will have to go home and come back later." The woman told GDR to, "Unbutton your shirt." So he opened his shirt revealing curly silver hair. She said, "That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me" and she processed his Canada Pension application.

When GREG got home he excitedly told his wife about his experience at the Human Resources office. Apparently Mrs. GDR said, "You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability too."

Just returned from the Retirement reception which Greg held at Cheers in YVR for his many friends, family and course mates.

It was a superb affair. While Greg seemed to have forgotten his Stratocaster, the music of his many friends sung a chorus of congratulations. Many of his course mates took the time and trouble to fly from Toronto, (some after having just got home from DEL) to wish Greg a fond farewell. Greg actually bought the beer and food (to much happy teasing). Wonderful work Greg, thank you.

It was a fitting and proper punctuation mark to a fine and dedicated career.

Congratulations, Greg.

And I am still not a socialist!

Kindest personal regards,

Don Hudson

Thanks Kip. (I think). Thanks Ed and Don. It still han't sunk in but I guess that over time it well.

Thanks Don for coming over to Cheers. Nobody had more fun there than I did. (And I'm still a capitalist, so there)

It's been a blast and I'll sure miss it.

Greg
