Guest BigSkyGuy
If an a/c is taken off an FMS arrival profile with a vector, how tough is it to reclear you to say the DTW via direct and then have you cleared for the approach, picking up the profile at the DTW? dragon
BSG, Happens all the time. 67 speaking, three key strokes of the FMS for a total of three seconds for a crew with even bare minimal experience. Just as easy is a heading to intercept the inbound track. Again, we'll build an extended centreline back from [usually] the FAF and arm the localizer capture. hope that helps. dragon
Guest caevans
Not hard at all if you have some time on the airplane. Not too easy if it is one's first week on the line. Basically you just leave the arrival in the box and modify it to start where you want to after the vector.
