milehighclub
Just hope you did not bet your house on the issue... Senate Rejects Raising Airline Pilot Retirement Age With a 52-44 vote and four senators not voting, the U.S. Senate yesterday rejected Amendment 896 to the FAA reauthorization bill, the Aviation Investment and Revitalization Act (S.824), which Sen. Jim Inhofe introduced to raise the mandatory airline pilot retirement age immediately to 63 with an incremental climb to 66. ALPA opposed the Inhofe Amendment. ALPA's position on this amendment is consistent with the Association's policy on the Age 60 rule as established by its governing bodies and reaffirmed at the May 2003 Executive Board meeting in Washington, D.C. Just good for the youngsters... MHC
