Guest Max Continuous
Of course, why would the CIBC sign a contract with an entity that is not expected to be viable in the future? Curious though, what does the CIBC gain in addition to the continuation of the Aerogold Visa card program, and being part of aeroplan?
Guest jetblast
"Of course, why would the CIBC sign a contract with an entity that is not expected to be viable in the future?" Sometimes it just works out that way. Look at AOL Time Warner. They merged in January of 2001. January 2002: QTR Loss of 1.8 Billion Posted April 2002: QTR Loss of 54.2 Billion Posted January 2003: ANNUAL Loss of 98.7 Billion Posted I don't think this was the idea when these two companies got together in January of 2001.
