Vancouver International Airport is hiring for a bunch of jobs and you don't need a degree© Provided by Narcity Canada

If you've ever dreamt of working at the best airport in Canada, then prep that resumé because Vancouver International Airport is hiring for many different roles.

The Vancouver airport has over 30 available positions and several of them don't require a degree.

Although the positions at the Vancouver airport vary in terms of responsibilities, each one of them comes with great benefits, including the guarantee of earning a living wage.

That's because YVR is a Living Wage employer, meaning if you work for them then you'll be making at least $25.68 an hour.

In 2022, the BC airport was certified by Living Wage for Families BC, which calculates how much a family of four (two parents and two children) needs to make to cover basic living expenses like food, rent, childcare, transportation and clothing.

The living wage differs by region in B.C. and in Metro Vancouver it sits at $25.68, as of 2023. That is $8.28 more than B.C.'s minimum wage which is $17.40 as of June 1, 2024.

If you've ever wondered about the perks of working at the airport, YVR has plenty of them listed on its website.

The airport provides its employees with health benefits, 24/7 access to an onsite fitness facility, competitive pay, paid time off, and a flexible workspace where you can work from home two days a week depending on the role. The Vancouver airport also has easy access to a bunch of on-site services like medical and dental clinics, restaurants and shopping.
