Airplanes are flying in europe for now. Most of the hanger guys have been layed off with recalls coming in october for an anticipated 'c' check. How many will come back? Hard to tell, most see the writing on the wall.

Many of the charter airlines (Skyservice, Sunwing, Canjet) register many of their aircraft for six month periods, typically December through May. The other half of the year they are sent to Europe and registered by some European airline for their busy season. We should see 'new' Skyservice registrations showing up in November and December. They issued a press release a while back that they would be dedicating 16 aircraft to Signature and Sunquest charters (8 each). They often also do some work for Transat or the smaller Tour Operators, but I have not seen any news so far.

There is a change this year, however. Skyservice will not be doing much out west. Signature and Sunquest look to be putting most of their Western Canadian customers on existing Transat flights.

I don't know all the details. The tour business changes faster than the regular airline business.
