Airline of The Month Club

My take on AC 2004 after CCAA

AC under Milton has turned itself into the "airline" of the month.....Whatever works this month is what we will be.....to me this represents one of the major differences from WJ and one which surely will handicap AC's future.....all great airlines have to be able to see over the horizon....the upcoming purchase of a whole slew of new planes is scaring the hell out of me.....but then again I have seen this all before....

I will give credit to WJ where credit is due...it seems to me they have had the same mission statement since day 1 and not wavered one bit from that formula, at least to this point in time......I just wish Clive would stand up and say what a great airline WJ is instead of dumping on AC all the time...it just sounds like the kind of thing a bad used car salesman would do...JMO

WJ has not waivered abit from this formula?

Original WJ: short haul carrier

WJ today: transcon/national carrier

Original WJ: low cost; no frill service

WJ today: LiveTV, more legroom

Original WJ: domestic only

WJ today: venture south "coming soon"

All companies -- airlines included -- cannot simply sit stagnant in some freeze frame and watch the world go by. Companies have to give customers what they want and customers are fickle. Companies which do not evolve are doomed to failure.

Just as WJ is adjusting its business to suit their customers requirements, so must AC.
