Guest bug smasher
I guess I have had the same problem..WE are returning my wifes progressives today as she can-not see her book in her lap where she normally holds it to read. I my self am going for a pair today. Is it my eyes or is it the poor quality of approach plates that we have to work with? The fellow taht mentioned Contacts are beter...Why does he say this...Thanks
Guest JakeYYZ
I’ve had the ‘hard’ lens progressives for 3 years. About a year ago I asked whether contacts were possible. My optician said they would fit me with a contact for distance in one eye and one for reading in the other. I was told that this worked for many, but not all people. Well, it didn’t work for me. Short of closing one eye, I couldn’t learn to read with them. At my annual checkup, I was told Acueview and CIBA had developed a progressive bifocal. I tried samples of both and found CIBA to be to my liking. Peripheral, distance and reading appears much sharper. However, I do find that I require more light when reading. They are pricey….100.00 for a 3 month supply. If they work for you, you will definitely notice the difference.
