Pearson International Airport is closing in on a spot in the top 10 list of the world's most expensive airports, says the head of the global air carriers' association. And Canada and its airport and air navigation operations have failed to shoulder their share of the financial burden resulting from the global SARS crisis by reducing rates, Giovanni Bisignani, director-general and chief executive officer of the International Air Transport Association, told a plenary session at an aerospace conference yesterday.
