Jazz Joke

So here is the "joke" that happened to me.

Layoff date being Friday, August 1'st, I did my last flight on Wednesday and it was one of those really nice flights that you live for. Good weather, good crew, happy customers. So that evening I sat down, had a cold beverage and pondered what to do next.

Thursday, the last day of the month, was a scheduled day off and not having had the best sleep, I wasn't too pleased to be woken up by the phone ringing.

Guess who it was... Crew Sked asking if I would accept a DRAFT. They had run out of pilots, again!! What a joke.

They even asked me for a reason when I said "No". Duh... take a wild guess.

Couldn't they just leave me alone to be miserable in peace?

July has been the busiest month for me in a long, long time. This is the fourth time they have tried to draft me recently.

So why the need to draft?

Why the need to lay off when we already can't cover the flying???

I'll try to figure that out over another cold drink... Cheers.
