Guest kevbert
AC stock up 12% today. I'm assuming it's based on some day trading but a lot of people buying the shares on the new GECAS deal. I know this has been going on for a few months, but I still don't get it - there is no value to AC stock. To quote a condition in the agreement between AC and GECAS: "...conversion of all Air Canada unsecured debt into equity..." Coverting several billion means all the value in the current stock will be wiped out. Perhaps some brokers are selling false promises, but if you want to throw your money away you can donate the money to me so I can buy a float plane for the weekends. Guest WA777
It's a game of musical chairs....whomever holds the stock when trading is halted and the shares delisted (replaced with new shares)...loses.....even the shorts risk losing by being unable to cover....it will happen sometime this year...care to place your bet....? Guest Marion Vanderlubbe
There were over 10 and 1/2 million short positions last week, much of the trading may be covers.
