Guest wetcoaster
As a Norseman pilot - CF-LZO I was wondering what that festival in Red Lake is like. I'm thinking of bidding the days off. Never been to Red Lake http://www.norsemanfestival.on.ca/festival_events_2003.htm
Guest ovrloaddundrpowrd
It's a good time. I spent three summers in Red Lake, one of them flying Norseman CFJIN and CFKAO, and I enjoyed every festival. I got to participate one year when I flew JIN in the final day airshow, and I experienced it as visitor when I made the trip back the year after I'd left Red Lake. It was fun both ways. It's a small town, so there's no a lot to do outside of the festival, unless you can get some fishing in, but it's well worth the trip for any pilot, especially one with ties to the Norseman and other bushplanes. Have fun and say hi to those two for me.
