Guest Airway
It seems to me that if the reduction in pension will only take affect if you retire after July, there may be many retirements in the next two months.
Guest GDR
Just a guess, but I would think that the comapny is proposing Jul 31 as a cut-over date from a defined benefit plan to a difined contribution plan, and as a result it wouldn't make any difference whether you retire Jul 31 or Aug 31. Guest Max Continuous
Have you actually read anything, anywhere about AC's proposal to introduce a defined contribution plan from a defined benefit plan?
Guest GDR
I can't remember exactly where it was, but the company did indicate that they wanted something other than the defined benefit plan. I don't know if it is included in this week's proposals, but I would guess that it likely is.
