Guest Go Around
Given the training costs involved in a massive downsize or shift of flying as pilots are retrained from left to right and type to type, is it possible that the ACPA/Air Canada stumbling block may be Air Canada's desire to lay off out of seniority? Perhaps its time to consider one union/one seniority list for every pilot in the country. I don't believe the salary of a nurse varies from hospital to hospital. Any ideas on the concept? Guest Simcoe
Before people get too excited about the prospects of Jazz or any other Air Canada owned carriers transforming htemselves into a Low Cost Carrier, (they are already a Low Fare Carrier and have been for about 7 years now), I would Captain Nick from Jazz, who was gloating about Jazz's future, and all others to read reports # 3 and #7 of this series. It is a harsh, and very accurate reality check. Jazz will never be a low cost carrier.
Guest easyjazz
Compaired to the other alternative it will have to do simcoe. With the Jazz contract in place the more we grow the lower the RSMs. The larger the aircraft the lower the RSMs. The more we fly, the lower the RSMs. Do the Math Mr. Unisys!
