Guest Airmail
Even with $2.5 Million in guaranteed ticket purchases, DL has decided to "postpone" the launch of their service into YFC past June. Since airlines rarely start new services in the fall, this sounds a heck of a lot like "thanks but no thanks". http://nb.cbc.ca/regional/servlet/View?filename=nb_deltadelay20030415
Guest regional for life
'Delta is blaming the war in Iraq and SARS for the delay. Fewer people are flying, forcing the airline to ground some of its planes.' I doubt that's it. We were told of some possible new Canadian destinations this summer, obviously this is one of them. However, our regional loads out of BOS on the D328 Jet are good and we're not grounding planes. We only have 33 D328J and none are grounded. There must be some other reason Delta's not telling them. This is assuming Delta Connection was going to serve YFC. I doubt loads could support mainline.
