Guest Casid
ACA794-LAX//LAS J146 HBU HBU056101 SNY091141 FOD214048 ALO BAE J16 YXU YWT WTRLO2 AAL456-KLAX //LAS J146 LNK J146 GIJ J554 CRL J586 YXU YWT WTRLO2 Why does ACA tend to file these (NRP?) routes with the fix-radial-distance fixes while many other carriers still file the conventional HL Jet Routes? Even with the wpts corresponding to nice lat/longs is it a pain for ATC to have to deal with a route consisting of a string of FRD points?
Guest George
They file them because they are the most efficient routes. The FAA flight planning computers cannot accept lat/long waypoints yet. When they are able to, AC will file lat/long waypoints.
