DALLAS – Ryanair (FR) has announced its biggest winter schedule yet at Faro Airport (FAO) with 30 routes out of the South-Portuguese airport, including four new flights to Frankfurt (FRA), Luxembourg (LUX), Madrid (MAD), and Nuremberg (NUE).

According to the airline, this schedule will provide Faro and the Algarve region with more choices of routes and connectivity, while transporting more tourists, thus contributing to the region’s growth and economy during the winter season.

Elena Cabrera, Ryanair’s Country Manager for Spain and Portugal, stated that “As Ryanair continues to grow and add capacity in Faro, customers will have 30 destinations to choose from for sun holidays or winter holidays, including Marseille, Milan, London, and Paris.”

For the winter season, starting on October 22, 2022, FR will base four Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft in FAO to operate all 30 routes until March 23, 2023.

The Biggest and Cheapest Route Network

At the moment of writing, Ryanair offers more than 220 different routes between 36 countries and across three continents. The airline, which is the European leader in low-cost operations, has the ability to sell tickets for as little as €4,99.

Thanks to its quick turnarounds, high aircraft utilization rates, and amazing cost-reduction techniques, FR has placed itself as a pioneer in this sector, driving out of business many other European carriers that have tried but failed on imitating their economic model.
